The Final Days of Vaccinations!

The beautiful educational poster in the picture below was designed by Nurse Marta and myself! The donated glue and art supplies came in handy that day, and then were passed on to school kids. We set up in the center square of downtown Copan Ruinas. The Municipality was giving out aid to families that day, so it was a perfect time to educate people about vaccinations. The three pictures below that were taken in the rural community of Union Cederal. We hiked throughout this large community with the megaphone to make sure no mother forgot to bring their babies to the local school for vaccinations. And to my embarrassment it was announced over the loud speaker that a North American was there helping... over and over again! The last picture is a typical rural school in the communities outside of Copan. Donated school supplies went to schools like this!
